Veneto – Discover Art, Cities and Palladian Villas

Arrival in Padova by your own means, you will have some free time to get a first taste of the city.

After lunch, begin the exploration of one of Veneto’s most remarkable landmarks: the majestic Basilica of Saint Anthony, with its spiritual and artistic charm. A pleasant walk then leads to the heart of the medieval center, through Piazza dei Signori and Piazza delle Erbe, where a lively atmosphere blends with centuries of history. The experience continues with a visit to the famous Scrovegni Chapel, home to Giotto’s frescoes, considered among the absolute masterpieces of Italian art.
The day concludes in Monselice, a charming village at the foot of the Euganean Hills, where dinner and overnight stay await.

After breakfast, embark on a unique experience along the Riviera del Brenta, an itinerary that combines art, nature, and history.

The day begins with a visit to Villa Foscari, also known as “La Malcontenta,” a Palladian masterpiece and a refined example of Renaissance architecture. From there, board a boat for a gentle cruise along the river, passing noble villas, picturesque villages, locks, and swing bridges.
Stops along the way allow you to discover treasures such as the splendid Villa Widmann and, further along, the monumental Villa Pisani in Stra, with its frescoes and magnificent gardens.

The day begins with a visit to Treviso, a city of water and poetry, characterized by canals weaving through the historic center. Strolling among the frescoed houses and medieval streets, you reach Piazza dei Signori, the heart of the city, featuring the Palazzo dei Trecento and the Civic Tower. The route continues to the Isola della Pescheria, surrounded by the waterways known as “cagnani,” and then to the Church of San Francesco, home to the tombs of Dante and Petrarch’s children. Crossing the picturesque Buranelli Canal, you arrive at the famous Fontana delle Tette, a testimony to ancient and curious traditions.

After lunch, the journey continues to Villa Maser, an extraordinary Palladian residence nestled in the hills. Here, between history and flavors, enjoy a tasting of local products and a guided tour of the villa, which houses frescoes by Paolo Veronese and valuable period furnishings.

The final day takes you to Bassano del Grappa, one of Veneto’s gems.

Here stands the famous Ponte Vecchio, also known as the Ponte degli Alpini, a masterpiece by Andrea Palladio offering stunning views of the Brenta River. Around the bridge, the atmosphere is lively, with artisan shops, historic cafés, and the renowned Nardini distillery, famous for its grappa and the traditional “mezzo e mezzo.”
Bassano is also steeped in history: the medieval castle of the Ezzelini family tells the story of the city, while walking along the walls reveals hidden panoramic corners.
After lunch in a local restaurant, the journey continues with a visit to the Grappa Museum, where you can learn about the production of this famous spirit and conclude the experience with a guided tasting before returning to your home city.
